Tracked All Weekend

I did it! I managed to track all weekend. I told myself that I didn't have to be perfect in my eating, but I had to write all down.

I went out for dinner on Friday night...but I ordered something healthier and only ate half of it. And maybe I drank a bit more wine than I should have, but I'm not beating myself up over it. I had a great time with great friends and I am not letting the weekend and a little over indulgence have an impact on my entire week. I am right back on track. And I think that is the point. I have to allow myself those occasions where I have fun with my friends. And that fun often means good wine and good food. But I need to remain conscious of what I eat. The funny thing is I didn't even want those fries on Friday night! It was actually easy to eat the good stuff because I knew I would feel so much better.

I didn't get quite as much activity in as I would like. Although I did spend a big chunk of one more cleaning my apartment and I did go into the city and walk around a lot. So it is not like I was sitting around on my but all weekend.

Back to the gym tonight! I'm ready for a good sweat...and I gotta get back to that weight lifting.

Proof that I tracked this weekend:

  1. Great job Andrea. You handled the weekend just right. You are on a journey to a healthier life style and life full of depriving yourself of things that you enjoy. If you practice the 80/20 system, i.e. 80% of the time being mindful of your eating and activity and 20% of time being a little lax and enjoy your time with friends and family all should be good. Pretty soon, the habit of being healthy will just come naturally to you and you will not miss all the bad stuff we like to consume.
